Lauri Benblatt MPH, MA, LPC
GLOBAL HEALTH AND DISASTER & EMERGENCY RECOVERY
Lauri has dedicated the past 15 years of her career to global health and disaster & emergency recovery and readiness initiatives, with specialties in behavioral health, displacement, human rights and justice, and the socio-behavioral impacts of climate and environmental changes. With prior emphasis as a clinical licensed psychotherapist, her career spans over 20 years. As such, Lauri brings a foundation in applying inclusive and equitable frameworks, and has a passion for bridging gaps across policy, strategic planning and implementation. She has worked in both the public and private sector where she’s become proficient in conducting research, evaluations and needs assessments; in program and project management; with training and facilitation with diverse audiences; in strengthening community resilience and capacity; and with community and multi-sectoral engagement. Lauri has worked throughout the U.S and its territories, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Haiti & Brazil.
MUSIC, DANCE, AND THE ARTS
Lauri is also accomplished in various genres of world music and dance, and supports arts-based justice initiatives involving dialogue, music, dance and the creative arts. She finds solace in the company of nature, social settings and animals alike.
